Hot Stone Massage

Warm stones have been used by many cultures throughout history for comfort and healing. Today they are still being used by many for the therapeutic properties they possess. In this class, we will explore the history, theories, and benefits of Hot Stone Massage. We will discuss the Care and Safety Standards of the stones, as well as, Indications and Contraindications for use. Several techniques will be demonstrated and a general Hot Stone session plan will be included to get you started! Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Please bring a set of sheets, blanket, pillow, and oil for the practice portion of this class. Stones will be available for use during this class and the school will have some stones available for purchase as well.
